Celebrate | Cinco de Mayo

Mr. Pepper and I definitely dove into the Cinco de Mayo spirit on our podcast this week.

The topics were Cocktails + Holding Hands but it kind of felt like we ended up talking more about our love of margaritas than anything else.If you and I have ever happy-houred together, you know that my beverage of choice usually involves tequila or mezcal, plus a generous squeeze of some sort of citrus. (Pour it over ice in my salted glass, and you've got yourself a happy gal.)It only seems appropriate that today we whip up our latest version of an old favorite, so I'm making the signature Pepper Marg to enjoy as we watch the sunset from the patio!

The Mr. Pepper Marg

Take 2 slices of jalapeno (seeds removed) and muddle in the bottom of a shaker. Add 1.5 oz of tequila, 1 oz of triple sec and 1 oz of lime juice (from a REAL LIME), shake and pour over ice in your favorite glass with a salted rim!

In the meantime, I'm excited to whip up this clever little salsa snack, a smoky taco dinner + the brightest pink drinks this weekend for a handful of our neighbors... Is anyone else planning an epic taco feast?
