DIY | Vintage Scarf Curtains
wanted to share a little snippet of our home today with you, friends!
after settling for store-bought curtains on the windows in our dining room for far too long,
i decided to take matters into my own hands and make a large-scale silk scarf "quilt"
to make the window more of a focal point... have i ever told you how much i love silk scarves? ;)
the part that took the longest was scouring my fave thrift stores to find the nine squares
that were all in the colorway i wanted, but you could easily find yours on ebay or etsy.
i hand stitched them together (making evening tv time feel much more productive!),
and was absolutely thrilled with the way they turned out!
especially love the way the light comes through them in the afternoons.
do you guys have store bought window coverings at home?
any other alternative ideas to dressing up your windows?
always love hearing new ideas to try! :)
