Travel | Organic Sweet Potato Farm

kale ceasar 7

I’ve always loved learning more about where our food comes from, and getting the chance to meet someone who contributes to my veggie-fueled life is always an honor.

Back in September, our friends at Kashi invited me to the organic sweet potato farm where they get the super-star ingredient for their latest wholesome cereal, and it was definitely one of the highlights of my foodie-obsessed Fall season.

(You didn’t know I was this nerdy about farming, did you?)

Even in the midst of our podcast tour and cross-country move, I made it an absolute priority and documented proof of my goofy enthusiasm right here:

Kashi’s Sweet Potato Sunshine was the non-crouton on my Kale + Sweet Potato Vegan Ceasar salad a few weeks ago, and today I thought it would be fun to show you a bit more about the process of how those yummy root veggies found their way into the box on my shelf!

Seriously such an honor to meet Farmer Mike and his family, and I loved getting to watch him be treated like a celebrity by the Kashi team!

Totally honored to help tell stories about the brands I love, and thanks so much to my friends at Kashi for making this project possible!

Ps. – Remember my trip to the kale farm in California a few years ago?

What a well done video! I LOVE sweet potatoes (seriously they’re one of the few foods I can eat at the moment) and will definitely check out Kashi’s sweet potato cereal.

I realized I should specify sweet potatoes are one of the few foods I can eat at the moment because of my food allergies/trying to get my gut back in order. :)
