At least three random women complimented me on my “dress” while we were out and about last weekend, and I just HAD to come clean every single time…
My favorite way to get the most out of a summer maxi skirt (bonus if it has elastic like mine) is to hike up the waist, add a leather belt for some shape, and turn it into a strapless dress — Just like that!
I kept the rest of the look easy breezy for walking my pretty pup to the pier while my family was here, and the flowy shape came in EXTRA handy when we stopped at my favorite Italian restaurant for dinner on the way home. ;)
Can’t wait to style it up the way it was meant to be worn a little later this summer!
Ps. – These sandals with their tortoise heels have been trying to work their way into every outfit this week… They’re also majorly on sale, in case you need to grab a pair for yourself!
Top to Bottom // Woodzee sunnies*, Maiyet skirt (worn as a dress), Tanner Goods belt*, Brahmin “Perri” pouch*, Stella McCartney sandals // * Notes a gifted item.

Love love love!
I do this with my maxi skirts too! :) I love it! I also love that you just had to tell people when they complimented you on your “dress”. I’m the same way, especially when someone compliments me on something I got for a great deal. I just have to tell them how little I paid for it, I just can’t help myself! I love sharing fun and helpful secrets with strangers. ;)
