Concrete Catwalk // Fall Fun

September 22, 2014

I love it when a full afternoon of meetings in the city ends up turning into dinner & drinks with friends, and luckily – creating a look that goes straight from errands to evening seems to be one of my handiest super-powers these days.

The key is to look for pieces that are comfortable AND chic, and then you can add layers from there for the transitional temps at this time of year.  This lightweight sweater was the perfect ‘stand-in-belt’ to keep my boyfriend shirt cinched in the afternoon sun, but I was ALSO glad to snuggle up with it during the evening hours spent on a sidewalk cafe.

The arrival of Fall means spending as much time outside as humanly possible (currently writing this from the steps of our front stoop!) and the best way to stretch out the season is by adding extra warmth to make your favorite end-of-summer-looks really last. Love that tossing the exact same thing over my favorite summer date-night look would be just as cute!

Ps. – Backpacks better not be going anywhere… I can’t stop tossing them on with nearly every outfit! This spotted one is currently on my wishlist and this one is under $50! Shop a few of my other current faves right here…
