As you can probably tell, my jeans are not the only thing about this look that would be considered “cropped” and if we happen to be instafriends – You’ve already seen a sneak peek of my freshly chopped hair!
(Yikes! I’ve been nervous to show you all week!)
Keep reading for more shots of the look, along with some tips for rocking these cropped boyfriend skinnies to kick the summer off right…
Top to Bottom // Banana Republic ‘Margaux’ sunnies*, Vintage pearl earrings from Nana, Sorrelli necklace, Gypsy floral tank* (similar), Old Navy cropped boyfriend skinnies*, Zatchels barrel bag*, Vintage beaded heels (thrifted, but also love these!) // * Notes a gifted item.
When it comes to style, I love nearly anything with the word “boyfriend” in front of it, and apparently this pair of Old Navy skinnies are no exception.
I threw them on to spend a Sunday with friends at our favorite summertime hangout, and found myself reaching for lots of girlie extras (ahem) to balance out a slouchier silhouette and the androgynous update to my ever-changing hair.
Something tells me that the key to rocking shorter locks OR cropped boyfriend jeans is to add feminine accessories whenever possible (heels… ALWAYS HEELS), and to use the extreme contrast as a serious style advantage.
Sound like a plan? ;)
Ps. – Remember the last time I wore these heels a few weeks ago? Totally different look!
PPs. – If you need your hair snipped in or around NYC, I will insist that you go see my dear, sweet Rubi.

I went super short a few months back and I understand your feelings! It takes a while to feel super feminine and confident but eventually I started to LOVE it and totally ROCK it. Bright lipstick definitely helps. you look fab!
Your hair looks lovely! I don’t think I’d ever be that brave but you wear it so well! And all the better to show off a bright lipstick or pair of statement earrings, right?
xx
Short hair don’t care! I love it. (But I’m biased.)
I haven’t popped in for awhile….so I am just seeing the new do. But girl you rock that short hair so well! I love it. :)
[…] trim (a 10$ clip from our neighborhood barbershop!) can really be described as my original “pixie”, but calling this shaggy mop anything else just doesn’t sound quite as cute. […]
