As much as I despise the cold weather during this time of year, I certainly love the seasonal fruit that the winter brings!
Any type of winter citrus is always my favorite, but pomegranates are definitely a very close second. The neighborhood that I grew up in was built amidst old fruit and citrus groves, and as kiddos, it was always so fun to have instant snacks on hand no matter whose yard we were playing in!
Only in the past few years have I discovered that there IS a trick to seeding a pomegranate without staining every single surface in your kitchen, and if you want to know the secret — watch the latest episode of S&P TV right here to find out how to get to those tasty little tidbits without ending up with bright pink fingers!
Even just posting about it is making me hungry RIGHT now, and that little recipe at the end is exactly what I’m having for breakfast today. (Warm, chocolate-y & oh-so-good for you!)
P.P.S. – Can’t forget to wish my beautiful Mama a very Happy Birthday today… You’re the best a gal could ask for (mean it!) and I truly don’t know what I’d do without you! XOXO
