I’m one of the least music-savvy people that I know, and usually my playlists consist of the exact same artists that my parents listened to at my age. (Cat Stevens, anyone?!) I’ve mentioned before that I typically listen to podcasts instead of actual music when I work-out, but recently discovered that music really makes a huge positive difference in keeping my pace up while I run! I’m usually pretty stumped when trying to figure out which current tunes are the appropriate tempo/genre for working out, so I’ve decided to start enlisting the help of a few friends… (and I’m excited for more excuses to bust out my hoodie with built-in headphones!)
You might recognize this little lady as one of my fellow bloggers (and dear friends!), and not only is Meg inspirational in the design and blogging world, but she’s no stranger to running because she completed the DC Nike Women’s Half-Maration earlier this year! See below to find out how Meg likes to Get Fit, and check out her own playlist (embedded below!) that she uses to help motivate and keep her going!
Favorite ways to Get Fit:
Running, yoga, indoor rower, and random bodyweight workouts throughout the day — anytime I’m in an elevator (alone) or waiting for one I do leglifts or squats.Music + Exercise:
I only listen to it while I run, but it helps distract me if I’m not really feeling it that day.Song that always gets stuck in my head:
Get Lucky, Daft Punk

Get Lucky has been in my head for days!
I’m an indoor cycling (spin) instructor in Scottsdale, AZ so I’m always looking for fun new songs to play in my classes. Thanks for the recommendations, I can’t wait to bust some of these out! Some of my most recent favorites are:
A Little Party Never Killed Nobody- Fergie
Make Me A Bird – Elektrik People
Youth (Adventure Club Remix) – Foxes
All Night – Icona Pop
and ANYTHING by DJ Earworm or Norwegian Recycling!
Enjoy <3
