Concrete Catwalk // Swimwear Secret

I took a cue from these vintage bathing beauties for an afternoon of kayaking around Balboa Island with my best gal, and loved the mix of fashion and function for a little extra seaside style.

I snagged this vintage swimsuit at a Savers in Austin (on our thrift trip lead by Yen!), and knew it would be perfect worn as a fitted little tube top until we were ready to hop in the water.  Love those double-duty style items, and now am on the hunt for other strapless one-pieces to supplement my new favorite swimwear secret.

Keep reading for the rest of the look after the jump below, and I also included a little round-up of some other great swim options that fit right into this little tube-top-to-bathing-suit switcheroo…

Top to Bottom // Scarf – J. Crew, Sunnies – No Rest for Bridget, Earrings – gift from Sara, Bathing suit – Vintage (via Savers), Shorts – c/o Crossroads Trading Co., Chambray shirt – J. Crew, Bangles – Bauble Bar, Sandals – J. Crew

Loving everything about this look! Especially the way you tied your hair turban/band!! Is it a long skinny scarf?
