It’s been quite a while, but I’m happy to finally have another Guy Style post to share with you today!
Mr. Pepper is one tall and lanky guy, and sometimes that means it’s tough for him to find clothes that fit him well. See below for more of his dashing look, and to read his thoughts on the men’s shirting line Hugh & Crye – it has proved to be a great option for the dudes out there that want less fuss about their style and more of something that is simply going to make them feel great!
Shirt shopping has always been a little tricky for me. As I see it, there are 3 options – buy a medium and suffer from too short of sleeves and/or torso-length, buy a large and suffer from an ill-fit around my shoulders and neck, or pay the extra money for a custom “neck and sleeve” shirt that usually lacks in the style department. Having the body type of an extinct bird has its obvious disadvantages.
That’s why I was rather intrigued when I came across Hugh & Crye… A company that makes well designed shirts with a twist on fit. With options ranging from short to tall AND skinny to broad, Hugh & Crye offers 12 different fits that are meant to better accommodate a wider range of body types. As you might presume, I’m a tall and skinny, and I couldn’t be happier with how this gingham shirt fits me. It was perfect for a night out with my wife to celebrate our 6 years of marriage, and even though we often plan our outfits to match on purpose (for reals), that night’s coordination of ‘classic colors’ was a complete accident.
Since it was fairly muggy out, I rolled the sleeves and pants to provide for a little more ventilation. To keep the look semi-sophisticated (and to balance out the jeans), I wore my suede cap-toe shoes and my favorite watch from Jack Spade. It allowed for a nice contrast between casual and special occasion, and kept me comfortable and confident for an amazing evening with my best girl.
