Dress layering.
Not something I do very often, but this red battenburg lace shift by Corey Lynn Calter can’t quite be worn by itself, and was just begging to be thrown on over another piece that is just as fabulous. To get the same look, you could easily opt for just one dress (like this one) that combines the pretty lacey details with the bold sleeves and color!
In the case you see here, it felt like the perfect fashion formula for an evening out with friends to celebrate this sweetie pie’s birthday, and on such a warm evening, I couldn’t resist tossing my hair up and slipping on these clog sandals to keep me cool.
More of the look after the jump!
Ps. Last time I showed you another one of my CLC favorites, I was frolicking in fields of sunflowers wearing these DIY heels late last summer. Looking back, it’s making me crave another road trip with my Mr. Pepper!
