Concrete Catwalk // Caftan Caper

March 18, 2013

When I first laid my eyes on this floral silk number two weeks ago, I thought “that caftan is ME in a nutshell dress!”  I love floral patterns and when they’re set against a dark background, I think it makes the sweetness pop with just the right amount of edge.  Add a flowy shape and a drawstring waist for a shameful amount of comfort, and I’m completely and forever sold.  Sadly, this particular option is sold out at the moment, but I’ve included some other available options for you below.

Keep reading to find out how I styled it up for an early Spring day, and let’s hope that dressing like it’s warmer than it is will keep away the late-Winter storm heading our way.

More cute caftans…

Top to Bottom:
Pashmina – On the street in Manhattan
Lipstick – Covergirl Lip Perfection in Spellbound
Earrings – Michael Kors
Dress – Tucker, The Outnet (similar here or here)
Bangles – Vintage, various
Red shoulder bag – Reiss (similar)
Watches – Vintage & c/o Movado
Striped socks – American Apparel
Boots – Vintage, eBay (similar)

I have a dress in that same silk floral fabric! Isn’t it beautiful? It’s cut differently, I really like it in that caftan shape too. Where’d you get it? I got mine from a woman at JW who’s sister owns a boutique and had a big clearance sale…pretty great…

Hey Maux! I got mine from TheOutnet.com, but I totally love that Tucker makes several different cuts of dresses out of their pretty prints. I bet yours is so cute – Which boutique was it?
