Pulling some pics from over our holiday trip to the west coast, and as you can tell, am not posing in front of my usual backdrop. One of the highlights of our trips to California was taking our sweet nephews to Knottsberry Farm for some Christmas festivities (and a bit of CRAZY rollercoaster riding for Aunt Jessie & Uncle G).
Keep reading for more shots of my amusement-park-style, and for a few tips that I try to remember when casual comfort is my key focus…
Tips for staying comfy AND chic while chasing kiddos around, but still looking cute for your man…
- Stretchy, well-fitting pants // This particular pair by Hudson is a micro-fine corduroy (they almost feel like velvet), and have the structure of denim with the comfort of jeggings! Plus, they’re my favorite color. Win and win!
- Roomy top // More space for indulging in snacks and less things to worry about keeping tucked in. Extra kid-points for a bold pattern… I even sort of fit in with the giant Charlie Brown characters that run around the park. :)
- Cross-body bag // Though it was tempting to bring one of my bigger totes, it would have been a huge liability on the upside-down rides. (Yikes!) A smaller, closeable satchel with a long strap was easy to get in and out of and just the right size for our camera, my wallet and a my favorite lip gloss.
Just a few points that may seem simple, but they totally work! Do you have any other little tidbits that help you feel cute and casual at the same time?

Pretty girl! =)
I love the bright blue pants! All the bracelets are fun too!
I just saw a top just like that at madewell. I think I need it now. Especially because I have an identical pair of blue pants?
I’m pretty sure I couldn’t love this outfit any more! Stripes + leopard + brights = heaven! :)

I love any excuse to wear leopard print. Your pairing of bright blue and leopard print is stunning! The addition of that great black and white stripe top is just the icing on the cake! <3 this look! This is a type of look I like to dub "casual chic"! :)
