Our Christmastime adventures in NYC last weekend were totally beyond what I could have imagined, and any grinchy-ness I was feeling beforehand has been totally blasted away by an explosion of twinkle lights and tinsel and tiny gingerbread houses. Those Rockettes sure know how to kick the bah-humbug right out of you. :)
This layered up look is what I wore for a day of exploring with my in-laws and I needed something that could go seamlessly from schlepping shopping bags up and down 5th Avenue to a double date with G’s parents at Radio City and then to a late dinner in the West Village (loved trying this new-to-me spot).
Keep reading for the rest of the look, including a BONUS PHOTO that shows how I styled it up for the evening with just a few quick changes and a flick of the wrist.
Wanna know my quick-change secret? I folded up the skirt (last seen here!) and tights into a teeny tiny dust bag and tucked them into a corner of that ginormous bag so that I could pop into the restroom at our hotel and work my magic. The jeans and the leather shell got left behind at our room, and after a swipe of my favorite festive red lipstick, we were on our way!

Great look. I love how you showed two ways to wear the same piece. Love the leather shell with the tartan.
Love both these looks, but I think the first one is my favorite…I’m obsessed with plaid right now! :)

you are SO smart. I never think to do things like list. I blame laziness. I am going to put this into practice!
Love the plaid! Those boots are so gorgeous! And great idea with the skirt :)

Another fabulous look! You definitely have layering down to an art! I especially love how you’ve added in a leather shell on top of a plaid top. I also love the boots! :)
