Smiling on the outside, but not feeling quite as festive on the inside just yet this season... Check out the rest of the outfit below, and find out how I'm planning to turn my into faux into for real.
*Hint: The red floral pants and leopard print shoes helped. A little.*
I don't know if it has been the hustle and bustle of getting Pepperologie together, the remnants of that stupid storm, or the fact that we just spent a week in much warmer climates, but I haven't really been feeling too Christmas-y lately. The good news is that G's parents are coming in town tonight, and we're looking forward to relaxing and exploring with them all weekend.
I'm hoping that the festive activities we have planned will help get me in a more celebratory mood, and I'm sure it's nothing a couple of Rockette kicks can't fix. :) Currently on the schedule: Heading to Radio City for a show tomorrow night, dinner and a Broadway show on Saturday (seeing Newsies - YES!), exploring the Christmas shops at Bryant Park and going to church together as a family for the second Sunday of Advent.
Yep, even just thinking about it all has made my faux-festive feel a little less frustrating.
Do you have any Christmas in NYC moments/experiences that you'd recommend? It's not our first holiday season here, but we always love trying new things and your ideas are always the best! Share in the comments!

I like grabbing a warm, peppermint mocha at Starbucks and wandering down 5th Avenue looking at store windows :)
ReplyDeletePerfect! We totally did that this weekend, and it was one of my favorite moments. :)
DeleteI love your little fur collar! (And those jeans!) So pretty, lady!
ReplyDeleteTruly love the earrings! I'm having a hard time getting into the Christmas spirit too, probably because it's like 90 degrees every day here now :/

90 degrees?! I can imagine that would feel pretty strange at this time of year!
DeleteThis is print mixing at its funnest (even though I know that's not a word...) - love the fur stole too! :)
