Four to Adore // Gems & Giraffes

November 9, 2012

Just popping in to share a few adorable ‘gems’ that I’ve spotted around the web this week…

  • Iosselliani Stackable Sage & Gold Rings from Anthem Wares – I love combining a selection of my favorite rings on one finger, and this stackable set would ensure that I get a chic collection together every time.  Bonus points for splitting them up and sharing with friends!
  • Lanky Giraffe Wall Decor from Anthropologie – A sweet rendition of my favorite animal (they always remind me of my Sweet G!) this would make the perfect finishing touch to our quirky home; I’m picturing him on the wall, overlooking our place to love.
  • Brass Clip-on Lamp from The Land of Nod – My desk lamp recently shattered to pieces when it fell to the ground (who knew “giraffes” were so clumsy?), so I’m in search of a replacement.  This one from a somewhat unexpected source would be great for clipping right to my desk hutch, but easily moved to the arm of the couch for an after-work reading lamp.
  • Snake Buckle-clutch by Foley & Corinna – Always a sucker for snakeprint, I was instantly drawn to this sleek clutch.  It would compliment nearly every outfit I can currently come up with in my head, and I typically take that as a sign that something would make a great purchase.

Which of the four to adore is your favorite?

Just a suggestion, that other people have found helpful. Put a wooden rod up on wooden brackets the width of the bed. Then one can tie backrest pillows to the rod using the large gromet we use on sailboat pillows. Then, you can attach a clip on lamp on something other then your mahogany, or whatever. Can, therefore, get the correct height for multi-tasking. I am just saying. You can’t expect a Giraffe to do it all! Give Jeffry a break! LOL. (My first time to use LOL, ha!)

I think I accidentally didn’t publish my comment, so start again, I will:
Just a suggestion that others have found helpful, and is also good for daybeds. Put a good wooden rod and wooden support brackets above the bed, the width of the bed, or more. Can then use nice flat cushions as back rests when they are attached to the rod using tabs with large grommets, like we do on sail boat cushions. Then, you can attach you lamp to something other than your mahogany bed, or whatever wood you use. If rod is wider than the bed, can attach one lamp for each occupant. You can’t expect Jeffry to do it all. Giraffes are meditators, and need some peace and quiet.

It’s all about the rings for me — I adore them!

For some reason the rings remind me of a salad… anyone else?
