We had a ridiculously fun day yesterday, and things are already feeling pretty toasty this morning, so I can’t help but think that finding a breezy spot to relax in the shade would make for the perfect afternoon. All of today’s sprinkles are cool, muted tones to match my laid-back Sunday mood. :)
- Thinking about snapping up these gray moto boots for fall, but they’re so cute, I think I’ll be wearing them sooner with flowy sun dresses and skirts!
- Our living room is getting a few tweaks this week (recovering our sofa, painting a wall, hanging new art, etc.) and I can’t stop thinking that this nautical-inspired Morse code print would be the perfect addition.
- What a simple, inexpensive & creative way to make your own minimalistic wall sconce for an area that needs a little touch of metallic.
- Can’t stop dreaming about these gorgeous ceramic dishes that are edged in gold. The set is a little pricey, but splurging on a single could definitely be much more my speed.
- By far, one of the coolest shift dresses I’ve seen in a while, this gray fringe-y number grabs and holds your attention with loads of lovely embellishments.
Speaking of gray… Have you read Fifty Shades yet? I’m being stubborn and avoiding it at all costs, but am curious to know the general consensus! Dish with me… fun or just plain filthy?

Love those boots !!!
About Fifty Shades, I picked the first one at the airport the other day totally oblivious about what it was about, oh my did I get a surprise ! I finally ended up reading all 3 of them. I’m still undecided, it’s definitely filty, but fun at the same time ! You’ll definitely want to know what’s gonna happen next (maybe only out of plain curiousity)but it’s definitely not a piece of art. Overall I’d say entertaining ! But I can’t figure out how they will get a good movie out of it that would be decent to viewers !

Oh my goodness, I can’t imagine opening it up to read without a warning first – must have been quite a shock! :)
That’s a great point about the movie, too… now you have me wondering the exact same thing!
I love all your picks today! Those dishes are gorgeous! Thanks for introducing me to simply grove’s blog also! haha I am with you on the Fifty Shades business. I am not giving in. I think it’s silly and ridiculous and people need read some real literature.
You’re welcome – she’s one of my faves, and such a sweet gal, to boot! :)
LOVE the dress…if only! And I’m resisting Fifty Shades as well. It started as Twilight fanfic, and I don’t consider that literature either!
I saw a lady reading fiffy (what i call it) on the train so I started reading it and was like “really? ugh”. So I’ll resist as long as possible.
Haha – fiffy. ;)
Love the boots! I haven’t read fifty shades and was curious about it too. I asked a few of my clients who had read it, and the general consensus was not worth it. So I think I’ll skip it :) [email protected]
A friend of mine gave in and started reading last week, I refused to join her for the same reason as Anon above referring to its Twilight fanfic. Anyway, my friend said it was racy and all, but the worst writing she has ever encountered. Instead, I’m reading American Wife by Curtis Sittenfeld and am loving it!
Oooh, I have been wondering about American Wife… glad to hear your enjoying, and I just might have to pick that one up! Thanks for the recommendation! XO
