Concrete Catwalk // Maxi in the Morning

July 11, 2012

G and I took these photos one morning last week on our way to work, and I love the soft light that such a different time of day provided us.  Keep reading for more photos, outfit details + a blast from the past… all included below!

My casual morning of appointments had me dressed a little more laid-back than I typically am, and I especially remember thinking that it was quite a change from the last time I wore this vintage maxi styled up for a wintry evening.

Which season do you like best: then for Winter or here for Summer?

It doesn’t even look like the same maxi to me! You look great in both outfits, but I have more of a laid back style so I am in love with this summer look!

Love that rope belt and the fun print of that maxi…such a great casual summer look!

What a beautiful skirt! You’re right– the morning light looks fantastic.

I have a rope belt that I thrifted, too. They are my absolute favorite thing to find! My mom used to work for a belt designer in the 80’s, but she only kept two pieces for me. I wish I had more.

Have a great day Jessie! xo

This is my perfect summer outfit! You have styled the skirt in two completley different ways, but they both look great.

My best season is of course summer as I can wear which ever dress I feel like. During winter we are stuck with loads and loads of layers but all so dull. I can’t tell you how much I liked your floral skirt. I think the white top has helped in accentuating the beauty of the skirt. I think it would look without the denim jacket. I checked the site you provided for maxi skirt. But I think the one you are wearing is more stylish. Your earring is just ok but the bangles are really cool and it goes well with the skirt. Altogether you look really stylish and chic.
