Chambray just screams summer to me... add a drawstring, a paper-bag waist & an exaggerated cuff and you've pretty much got the perfect shorts in my book.

My outfit definitely ended up being more playful than literal... no flag t-shirts here! Just a tiny smattering of red, white & blue and a vintage top that ended up being an unintentional homage to the incredible fireworks show that we watched above the Hudson River.
