Concrete Catwalk // Tennies

March 21, 2012

If you couldn’t already tell from the tennies above and my headgear of choice from Monday, I’ve been fully embracing my “sporty side” lately, and I have to say: it’s been quite fun to incorporate some unconventional fashion choices into my everyday style.  Who says errand-running shoes can’t make an attempt at a glamorous cameo every now and again? ;)

Also, how cute is my little sidekick in her flowy printed maxi and lace-up booties?  Fiercest (and sweetest) 15-year-old I know… spent all weekend trying to convince her to start her own blog!  Miss you already, Annie-Frannie!!!

Top to Bottom:
Earrings – Vintage (similar)
Scarf – Street vendor
Sweater (also worn here & here)- Zara (similar)
Bangles – Vintage, various
Rings – L to R: Charlotte Russe, c/o Accessorize, Vintage
Skirt (last seen here) – Vintage, Flea market (this dress would work just as well!)
Handbag – c/o Kate Spade (similar style, new season!)
Tennies – Converse

Just loving this combination, Jessie… I’d never have paired up tennis shoes with a vintage skirt and slouchy sweater – such a cool, comfy and eclectic look! You look fabulous as always =sigh=

Can’t go wrong with Chuck Taylors!

Are you earrings clip-ons? I find that so many vintage earrings are amazing, but they are clip ons!

This is a ‘go get anything you want, ensemble. Plus Perfect. And of course, the converse are the only tennis shoes to wear. Would you believe for many years you couldn’t get converse. I was out of luck, and then they came back with the lacing and access to the toes we all love. You put it all together on this one, Jessie. Bravo!

Girl – I was JUST looking at some lowtop all stars the other day! I think they’re so classic and fun – and ideal for wearing like you are, with a fun, jazzy outfit, or to the beach with shorts, etc. I think you’ve pushed me to purchase!!
