What is it about New Year's Eve that makes us feel compelled to get all dolled up? The word glamorous is definitely not one that comes to mind when I think about describing my own personal style, but I DO love putting together a good costume now and again!
I was pretty excited to get dressed up for the Great-Gatsby-themed party that we went to on NYE, and although I don't think my outfit qualified as being literarily accurate, I did love the sparkle and bold use of color. Plus, I added one of Gerard's grandmothers vintage hats at the last minute, and I think that gave the whole look some extra points. ;) Kept the accessories simple overall (love my new glittery clutch from Truvow), because I didn't want the look to seem too cluttered.
P.S. Do you remember the dress from when I wore it this past summer? Styled a little differently, but I still love it! Can you believe it used to be a size-22 blouse?
And of course, here are a few snaps from the evening, courtesy of our dear hostess with the mostess and my instagram feed (Feel free to follow along - I'm @styleandpepper!).
