Concrete Catwalk // Denim & Fur

January 16, 2012

A mish-mash of casual separates, dressed up for drinks with friends by adding a flowy maxi-skirt and a vintage fur stole that I’ve been clipping on to nearly every jacket I own!  It’s such an easy way to jazz up a plain piece of outerwear, and there’s surely nothing wrong with a little extra warmth during this time of year.

Top to Bottom:
Earrings – Vintage, thrifted (similar)
Stole – Vintage, was my grandma’s (similar – only $30!)
Sweater – c/o The Limited (here’s a pretty rust one that I like just as well)
Denim jacket (also seen here & here) – Thrifted & DIY’ed by me (get this one & make your own!)
Necklace – c/o Angel Court Jewelry
Clutch – c/o Express (similar)
Bracelets – Vintage, thrifted (similar)
Double finger two-tone ring – Asos.com
Skirt – Vintage, thrifted (similar)
Boots – Asos.com (similar)

LOVE what you did to the jacket. I also have a few removable fur collars from my grandmother’s coats. I’m inspired to wear them!

I’m crazy about this outfit! I’ve been eyeing up a vintage fur stole in an online shop, and I might have to snatch it up seeing how you styled it here.

Also, I just clicked through to Angel Court Jewelry. I’m dying over their pieces! Adding to my birthday wish list now!

This would be a cute outfit anyway, but the fur really takes it to the next level. I love the contrast between the fur collar and your denim jacket. Totally cute!

That fur collar adds the perfect touch to this outfit! There is a lot of great layering going on in this outfit. And of course I love the leopard clutch!

Great idea! I was just trying to think of different ways to wear my own vintage mink sole aside from with tweed blazers. Thanks for the great tip! And might I just add…your hair looks really pretty in these pics. Looking gorgeous, lady!

Wow I can’t believe you’ve paired a fur scarf with a denim jacket Jessie – this is just what I’ve done on my latest post and it looks wonderful on you!! (I hadn’t seen this outfit of yours before now, but maybe your style has been subliminally influencing mine, which I’m SO grateful for!!)
