Concrete Catwalk // On a Mission

December 12, 2011

A casual day of running errands around town called for some stretchy denim (in a punchy color – why not?!), a ruffly silk blouse, and a silk scarf tied as a turban to partially cover up my messy hair. :)

What are your favorite “errand-outfits”?  Sometimes it’s tricky to look pulled together when you’re on a mission, but I’d love to know if you have any tips!

Also, if you’re wanting to know how to tie a scarf as a turban for yourself: check out the tutorial video I filmed last winter, below!  (For more fun video features, be sure to check out our YouTube channel: S&P-TV!)

Top to bottom:
Turban – Vintage, c/o Veil Vision (similar)
Sunnies – Arizona Trading Company (similar)
Blouse – Vintage, Thrifted (similar: high and low)
Fluffy sweater – Vintage, Thrifted (similar)
Skinny jeans – TJ Maxx (similar)
Handbag – J. Crew (similar)
Flats (by far, my most comfy pair!) – c/o Blowfish

Gorgeous! Love those purple pants. :) My go-to outfit for errands is an oversized sweater, leggings, flats and a huge bag to keep all my odds and ends. :)

Love the colors in this outfit…esp those purple pants! Lately I’ve been running around in cuffed boyfriend jeans, sweaters, ankle boots, and statement necklaces…adding one large, fun piece of jewelry makes me feel so much more pulled together!

Love that you kept it colorful, even just for running errands! The color of those pants are amazing, and your turban makes me pine for long hair (and that’s no easy feat, friend).

When I’m running around, I keep it simple – boyfriend jeans, a button down (really, when am I not in a button down?), cardigan and a scarf. I try to layer up as much as possible; one can never tell what’s next with this crazy SF weather!

Well done, and very helpful! I would suggest not having the music playing in the background so that it’s easier to hear you speaking. Thank you!
