it is getting TOASTY up in here, people.
(the post title is referring to the temps, not me – duh.)
i’ll be the last you’ll hear complain, as i actually LOVE when it’s really hot,
but i always forget how much i rely on layering until it’s absolutely no longer an option.
like now.
i try to continue to express my personal style by adding fun summer accessories
to some of my favorite hot-weather staples, like a little silk mini-dress.
donning wooden-heeled sandals, reaching for straw accessories,
and PILING on the jewelry all help this look stay polished, yet cool.
what are your stay-cool-yet-stylish tricks?

love that dress…hot hot hot! and i mean you not the weather!
This is a great look–the clutch is so fun and vibrant, and I love the sandals!
That dress is so charming and fits you so well! What a great thrift find.
Gorgeous look, you find the best vintage clothing! I agree, a dress is the best way to keep cool.
The truth is that I have a crush on you for real. You are such a little smoke show!
Looks totally cute! I just grabbed myself a pair of wooden heels as well and am loving them! I love your style because you use pieces that most people can afford, yet you put them together in super chic ways.
hats are probably going to one of my obsessions this summer. i just finally decided i can wear them and they’ll be so useful in this southern humid heat.
This dress is so flattering on you. I agree about the jewelry, too, it always adds polish to an outfit.
so sweet, everyone! thank you!
Totally loving that sweet little dress! It looks amazing on you; what a good vintage find!
