i have been in the mood to wear these vintage bally brogues for a long time,
but i wanted to pair them with just the right outfit.
they are quite possibly one of my favorite pairs that i own,
but because of their strong menswear influence,
i like wearing them with more ladylike pieces.
(ok, so the miniskirt probably doesn’t count as ladylike, but you know what i mean.)
also, i’m thinking about switching out the laces to a fun bright color for summer.
any ideas on what color would look best? maybe neon?
top – vintage, thrifted
belt – j. crew
necklace – vintage, garage sale
watches – nana’s and my own

Love your outfit and the brogues! You look great in bright colors!
That skirt is adorable!! Love this outfit!!
Neon laces would look great with those brogues. Such a great idea! And just so you know, whenever I go thrifting my new obsession is finding watches I can double or triple up on. I love how you pull them off.
Yes to the laces! I think they would look great with a sheer neon pink or orange ribbon… or you could go with a light pink for something more demure. Anything would work with that gray/taupe color!
you are rockin’ it out today ;) I am a Brogue maniac… so I love seeing these in your outfit.
Lovely!
Gorgeous! I love the colors in that pretty top :)
Yellow laces of course!!
gah! I love love love this outfit lady. Broques are my favorite..I think a hot pink or green would be super cute.
I’m going to go with a neon/hot pink. I think it would look good with the muted brogues (not to mention it would look fancy with this outfit).
Now I’m thinking maybe magenta.
I have faith in you! :)
oooo yeah. I love the idea of neon pink!
beautiful printed blouse!! and love the lace skirt!
Perfect!
That is my fave way to wear brogues/oxfords – with the girliest look possible. I changed my laces out for chiffon ribbon in a neutral but a neon would look great too!
Lovely floral top!
I love this combination! It’s genius.

to be honest, i wasn’t sure how i felt about the top when i had it on, but sounds like the general consensus is a positive one! :) thanks for the love, gals!
