Concrete Catwalk // Neon

March 11, 2011
i happen to be winging my way to warmer weather as we speak,
(texas style council conference here i come!)
but here are a few wintry photos to carry you over until posting resumes next week…
these were (obviously) taken a few weeks ago
but i think the neon color applies even more now that it’s warming up a bit.
i am so intrigued by the citron/cobalt color combo
that i wanted to try my own version, and the above was the result.
a little remniscent of the kimberly ovitz FW2011 presentation i saw in NYC, no?
coat – j. crew
double pocket dress shirt – vintage, thrifted
belt – j. crew
skirt – target
tights – vera wang for kohl’s
shoes – fergie (
i also happen to be smitten with these DVF citron platform heels
and am dreaming of inviting them to add their sunniness
to my spring/summer shoe wardrobe!
what do you think, will you try citron for the upcoming season?

p.s. don’t forget to follow me on twitter (@concretecatwalk)
for updates and fun from austin this weekend!

You are so adorable! The bright color looks fantastic on you, but I really think it’s the coffee with the straw that makes the outfit!

It was great to meet you last night. Hope today went well at TSCC!

Love this outfit. “Grellow” is one of my favorite colors. =)

If you swapped this skirt in Austin, I’m pretty sure I got it – haha. I love how you paired it with this grellow-y color. I wouldn’t have though of that!
