Fashion Events This Week

lots going on in kc area fashion this week!

tomorrow night is views, a fashion show on top of the country club plaza
put on by standard style boutique

and saturday night is adorn of the dead at replay lounge in lawrence
(my friend mary will be walking in this one and i'm very excited!)

both events are to benefit great causes and if you're in either area,
you should definitely attend!

and we became fashion friends immediately. :)
she photographed me for her own blog
and then i got to see her again the next night
for a fun dear creatures trunk show at their shop.

To the Nines Fashion!

today, i'm pleased to welcome to the nines fashion as the very first sponsor of the concrete catwalk! we are big fans of the line and are SO glad to feature one of their buttons on our site.

now, go check out the thoughtfully designed (and SUPER soft) tanks from creator and local kansas city fashionista, kim hinkle. i really need to snatch a few up for myself so that i can wear them layered with all sorts of different looks this fall.

my favorite part about kim's line is that all of her garments are 100% pre-shrunk... no annoying surprises when you wash your new favorite tank only to discover that it would now fit an 8 year old. check out this page to see her fashion pet peeves (which are probably yours, too) and how she has made her clothing so that you won't have to deal with these common annoyances when you are wearing her pieces.
